10 Health Benefits of Turmeric.

http://fitlife.tv/10-health-benefits-of-turmeric/

1.  Prevents Cancer

Turmeric can help prevent prostate cancer, stop the growth of existing prostate cancer and even destroy cancer cells. Multiple researchers have found that the active components in turmeric makes it one of the best protectors against radiation-induced tumors. It also has a preventive effect against tumor cells such as T-cell leukemia, colon carcinomas and breast carcinomas.

2.  Relieves Arthritis

The anti-inflammatory properties in turmeric are great for treating both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, turmeric’s antioxidant property destroys free radicals in the body that damage body cells. It has been found that those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis who consume turmeric on a regular basis experience much relief from the moderate to mild joint pains as well as joint inflammation.

3.  Controls Diabetes

4.  Reduces Cholesterol Level

5.  Immunity Booster

Turmeric contains a substance known as lipopolysaccharide, which helps stimulate the body’s immune system. Its antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal agents also help strengthen the immune system. A strong immune system lessens the chance of suffering from colds, flu and coughs. If you do get a cold, a cough or the flu, you can feel better sooner by mixing one teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk and drinking it once daily.

6.  Heals Wound

7.  Weight Management

8.  Prevents Alzheimers

Brain inflammation is suspected to be one of the leading causes of cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. Turmeric supports overall brain health by aiding in the removal of plaque build-up in the brain and improving the flow of oxygen. This can also prevent or slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

9.  Improves Digestion

10.  Prevents Liver Disease

From October 1, 2014. Massive Online US Obituaries Project Will Help Find Your Ancestors.

https://familysearch.org/blog/en/massive-online-obituaries-project-find-ancestors/

The tremendous undertaking will make a billion records from over 100 million US newspaper obituaries readily searchable online. The newspapers are from all 50 states and cover the period 1730 to present. The completed online index will be fairly comprehensive, including 85% of U.S. deaths from the last decade alone. The death collection will easily become one of the most popular online genealogy databases ever, detailing names, dates, relationships, locations of the deceased, and multi-generational family members.

The Debate is over. Twist on Climate Change Hoax.

Climate Change Hoax.

I have maintained for some time that climate change attributed to a cause by man is a hoax and that climate change is natural.  Many, better qualified than myself, have said the same thing.

http://www.ijreview.com/2014/10/191907-guess-weather-channel-co-founder-said-man-made-climate-change/

  • There has not been man-made global warming in the past, is none in the present, and there’s no reason to fear that there might be any in the future.
  • Efforts to prove the CO2 emissions cause climate change have failed.
  • There has been no warming over the last 18 years.
  • There is no climate crisis, the oceans aren’t rising, polar ice is increasing, polar bears are increasing, and heat waves and storms are not increasing.
  • Climate change is a political and environmental agenda item without basis in science.

  • . . . . .
Here’s the problem: CO2 emissions have increased dramatically over the last two-hundred plus years yet temperatures have varied. Or, in the case of the last 18 years, haven’t moved at all. Regardless of arguments about “climate sensitivity,” CO2 simply cannot be the driver of global temperatures with such fluctuations.

    Chili Billy

On October 11, 1014 I attended the graveside services for my brother Bill.  In talking to those in attendance I learned a bit about Bill. One fellow from his union, Dan Thompson, that knew him and was a good friend
told me and my family that they used to call him Chili Billy.  I like the Chili Billi spelling.  Bill got into cooking chili went he went out to California and lived with his sister and her husband for a while.  Bill loved to cook as did Karen and Tony who still attend chili cook offs and make chili or salsa.  I believe they have won awards for both.  Bill had a chili cook off at the park in Price, Utah one time.  Tony said it was 1999.  I know it was when Marvin was still alive because he was there.

I just wanted to share this experience.  I was very amused by the term "Chili Billi".  Creative and so much fun. Thanks to Bill's close friend Brian for all he has done for Bill. It was a lot.
