BOY CONFESSES THAT HE ROBBED POST OFFICE
Winter Quarters, June 21--Benny England, 16 years or age, was arrested this afternoon by national guardsmen under Lieutenant A. W. Morrison and is alleged to have confessed to the stealing of a sum of about $650 from the post office here a few days ago. Samuel Dorrity, chief deputy guard for the Utah Fuel Company, obtained the information which led to the arrest
England gained admittance to the department when Miss Mary Rees, postmistress, became frightened at a mouse and he ran to her assistance. The money had been set out preparatory to cashing a money order for a woman here and was missed shortly after England left.
England tells a confused and contradictory story, declining to state where the money is, if he has it. He was questioned by Postoffice Inspector E. L. Jackson of Provo.
