I'm putting these links here because my dad worked in the coal mines for years. This is also related to the climate change hoax which I have mentioned on other posts. Coal supplies about 50% of our electricity. There is currently nothing to replace it. Obama was for coal and now he isn't. In fact he has declared war on coal. This is a problem maker not a solution. Electricity will cost more and brown outs will increase. I believe that Obama has been bought. Mitt Romney has said that America can become an energy superpower. He will OK the Keystone Pipeline on day one in office. He has also said that coal will not be a four letter word under his administration. That is the best news I have heard in a while. It may be the best news I have heard ever. Yes, apparently coal is or will be a hot issue during this election campaign.

Blog about family history or genealogy and human interest stories. All of the Josephs were prospectors and I have decided to make that a theme in this blog.

I believe diamonds are much easier to find than gold.
There are three obvious reasons why I believe that diamonds are easier to find that gold. There are probably many more. I will discuss three reasons. These reasons may not be true all the time but I believe as a rule they will prove to be true.
The first reason is that you don't have to go clear to bedrock to find diamonds. Diamonds are not as heavy
as gold so they will not go as far down in the soil or creek as gold. Diamonds will bi found with lighter gravel.
The second reason reason, and they are in no particular order, is that in my research I have determined that the source will be know for the diamonds. The source being kimberlites. I will be more likely to look for placer diamonds though I will not totally ignore the kimberlite itself. The source will be a good start for searching for placer diamonds. Just follow the gravity and look down hill. I believe nature will concentrate the diamonds for you.
The last reason, which may not always be true, it is my opinion that diamonds will be easier to find because they will likely be bigger that gold. A small diamond gem will be a lot easier to see than a speck of gold which may even be microscopic. I have found neither gold nor diamonds but in my research and with what knowledge that I have I believe I can be and will be successful in finding diamonds with a lot of hard work and persistence.

How to start Diamond Mining.
Currently I am researching on how to find or look for diamonds. I have found a lot of good information and I have spent a lot of time looking at google earth, maps, books and the Internet. What I have found out is that I don't have to go to Arkansas or even Colorado or Wyoming to look for diamond. Though Colorado is a good place to find some. The link below is a great wealth of information on diamonds. Besides putting it in this post I will add it to my links for this blog.
